5. Seller Pays Transfer Fees: Fees that have accrued during the transfer of the liquor license must be paid by the seller and will be deducted from the earnings at the time of the sale of the Nassau County alcohol permit.
6. Buyer pays the AB&T Annual License Fee: At the time that the liquor license sale is closed, the prorated annual license fee is due by the buyer. They can have their attorney or escrow agent pay the amount due to the seller’s attorney with a Cashier’s Check, Bank Check, Attorney’s Trust Account, or Bank Wire.
7. Closing the Bill of Sale: The seller or their escrow agent or attorney will give the buyer the following documents at the time of the sale of the Nassau County alcohol permit: the original Bill of Sale, the Closing Statement, and the Affidavit of Transferor.
8. Submit Transfer of Liquor License Application Documents to AB&T: The buyer must complete the documents and forms required along with the AB&T Application. They can have their attorney help them complete this step. If the AB&T Application for the Nassau County liquor license is approved, but the business location is not quite ready to sell or serve alcohol, the buyer may put the alcohol permit in escrow with the AB&T. If the business premises have been approved as a place to sell alcohol, then the DBPR AB&T will send a temporary alcohol license for Nassau County.

5. Submit your AB&T Application: The completed AB&T Application may be sent over to the Nassau County division district office for approval along with the other required documents. 
6. Post the temporary initial license: If a fee was paid during the AB&T Application process, you may receive a temporary liquor license in Nassau County which should be posted at your place of business until you are sent the official alcohol permit. 
7. AB&T Application Review: All the AB&T Application documents and forms will be reviewed and approved by the Division of Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco (AB&T), and they will add this information to their system.
8. Submit to investigation: One more survey of your business location must be done, this time by the DBPR AB&T. They will decide if your business premises passes their inspection.
9. Receive the liquor license: If both the AB&T Application and the inspection have been approved by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) Division of Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco (AB&T), then they will send you a bill to collect payment for the Nassau County alcohol license. Once they receive your payment, the DBPR AB&T will mail you the official Nassau County liquor license, and you must prominently display it at your business.
