Browsing

This website does not collect personally identifiable information from you when you browse this website and request pages from our servers. We do not use cookies to collect your personally identifiable information. We will not receive your personally identifiable information unless you provide it to us. This means that we will not know your name, your email address, or any other personally identifiable information just because you browse the website unless you:

  • access the website from a link in an email that we sent; or
  • have created a profile and you either log-in to your account or choose to be remembered via your cookie, including on your web-enabled mobile device.

In the above cases we will know who you are based on the information you previously supplied to us. When you request a page from our Web site, our servers log the information provided in the HTTP request header including the IP number, the time of the request, the URL of your request and other information that is provided in the HTTP header. We collect the HTTP request header information in order to make our Web site function correctly and provide you the functionality that you see on this website. We also use this information to personalize content presented to you, better understand how visitors use our website and how we can better tune it, its contents, and functionality to meet your needs. Under circumstances where we collect personally identifiable information from you, we take commercially reasonable steps to secure such information from unauthorized access and use by third parties. We may use such information to respond to you, and, subject to your prior approval, transmit that information to a third party with whom you will be doing business in connection with the completion of the sale or purchase of an alcoholic beverage license through our website. A third party with whom you will be doing business includes, but may not be limited to: (1) A Third Party, Independent Escrow Company; or (2) Chase Secure Money Transfer Services.

We do not and cannot make any representation to you concerning whether or not third parties use cookies and/or if and when they may collect personally identifiable information from you. You should consult the privacy policy of any third party whose website you visit, browse through and/or use to determine if and when it and/or they may collect personally identifiable information from you.

Your computer may contain cookies from other websites you have visited, browsed through or used. You should determine the presence of cookies on your computer and take whatever corrective action you deem necessary to protect your personally identifiable information. If you do not have the expertise to determine whether or not cookies exist on your computer, how to delete them, if they do exist, and prevent them from reappearing, you should consult a professional who can assist you.

Pixel Tags

Liquor License Auctioneers does not use pixel tags (also known as “clear gifs”, “beacon gifs”, etc.). Third-party service providers, or websites you have used to get to our website, or where you may go after you leave our website, use or may use pixel tags. Pixel tags are not visible to the user of the website and consist of a few lines of computer coding delivered with the Web page. Pixel tags are  used to collect personally identifiable information about you. When a third-party website uses pixel tags they are used to:

  • Track customer response to advertisements and website content;
  • Determine your ability to receive HTML-based email messages. Email service providers include a pixel tag, which they refer to as a “coded sensor” in all of the HTML-based messages sent. The sensor activates when the email message is opened and flags the email address of the user as one that is capable of receiving HTML-based email messages. This capability helps the service provider to send the email in a format you can read. The sensor does not collect or use any other information. If you cannot receive HTML, you will not receive a functioning sensor;
  • Know how many users open an email and allow the service provider to compile aggregated statistics about an email campaign for us; and
  • Allow the third-party to better target interactive advertising, enhance customer support and site usability, and provide offers and services that the third-party provider believes would be of interest to you.

You should review the privacy policies of all third party websites you visit, browse through or use to determine their privacy policy and use disclosures concerning pixel tags.

Securing the Transmission and Storage of Information

We treat the information you provide to us as confidential information; it is, accordingly, subject to our company’s security procedures and policies regarding protection and use of confidential information. We will never ask you for credit card data. We use SSL’s on the pages of the website where you would enter personally identifiable information.  These pages include the buyer and seller information request forms we use in connection with the auction and listing of alcoholic beverage licenses. This ensures that your information is encrypted as it travels over the Internet. This secure mode is enabled before any such information is transmitted from your computer or web-enabled device. You will know you are in secure mode when the padlock or key icon in the lower right-hand or left-hand corner of the computer screen appears in the locked position. After information reaches Liquor License Auctioneers, it is stored on a dedicated secure server that resides behind firewalls designed to block unauthorized access from outside of Liquor License Auctioneers. Because laws applicable to personal information vary by country and state, we may put in place additional measures that vary depending on the applicable legal requirements. Information collected on the websites covered by this privacy statement is processed and stored in the United States.
