Liquor License Auctioneers does not use pixel tags (also known as “clear gifs”, “beacon gifs”, etc.). Third-party service providers, or websites you have used to get to our website, or where you may go after you leave our website, use or may use pixel tags. Pixel tags are not visible to the user of the website and consist of a few lines of computer coding delivered with the Web page. Pixel tags are used to collect personally identifiable information about you. When a third-party website uses pixel tags they are used to:
- Track customer response to advertisements and website content;
- Determine your ability to receive HTML-based email messages. Email service providers include a pixel tag, which they refer to as a “coded sensor” in all of the HTML-based messages sent. The sensor activates when the email message is opened and flags the email address of the user as one that is capable of receiving HTML-based email messages. This capability helps the service provider to send the email in a format you can read. The sensor does not collect or use any other information. If you cannot receive HTML, you will not receive a functioning sensor;
- Know how many users open an email and allow the service provider to compile aggregated statistics about an email campaign for us; and
- Allow the third-party to better target interactive advertising, enhance customer support and site usability, and provide offers and services that the third-party provider believes would be of interest to you.
Securing the Transmission and Storage of Information
We treat the information you provide to us as confidential information; it is, accordingly, subject to our company’s security procedures and policies regarding protection and use of confidential information. We will never ask you for credit card data. We use SSL’s on the pages of the website where you would enter personally identifiable information. These pages include the buyer and seller information request forms we use in connection with the auction and listing of alcoholic beverage licenses. This ensures that your information is encrypted as it travels over the Internet. This secure mode is enabled before any such information is transmitted from your computer or web-enabled device. You will know you are in secure mode when the padlock or key icon in the lower right-hand or left-hand corner of the computer screen appears in the locked position. After information reaches Liquor License Auctioneers, it is stored on a dedicated secure server that resides behind firewalls designed to block unauthorized access from outside of Liquor License Auctioneers. Because laws applicable to personal information vary by country and state, we may put in place additional measures that vary depending on the applicable legal requirements. Information collected on the websites covered by this privacy statement is processed and stored in the United States.

This means we will not be liable to you or any other person or entity for general, special or punitive damages alleged to have resulted from our exercise of the above reserved rights.
In the event you fail to provide us with a requested written consent or confirmation of your authority, you shall be deemed to have released us from any and all further responsibility and liability, monetary and otherwise, to proceed with the specified alcoholic beverage license auction, transfer and sale transaction, and you shall specifically be deemed to have released all of your rights arising under California Civil Code § 1542, or under the similar laws of any other applicable state, which states:
“Certain Claims” Not Affected by General Release. A general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release, which if know by him or her must have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor.”
